The Tracy Police Department was contacted on September 10th, 2026, after a parent informed them that students saw a cellular device recording them while changing inside the locker rooms.
After this incident, officers learned that a student and others had found the cellular device and deleted the recording before handing it off to a teacher. On September 11th, detectives and School Resource Officers began to investigate the incident. Investigators had identified the phone as Jeffrey Pribble, a 48-year-old male who worked as a teacher and a varsity football coach. Other police had come down to the school to interview other students for additional information. Pribble had been with Tracy High School since 2004, when in the fall of 2021 he became a coach of the varsity football team.
Pribble had been arrested that Friday on school campus, leading up to the Tracy Unified District putting him on leave. Tracy High School's principal had informed parents by telling them, “We understand that this news may raise serious concerns in the District community. The district too is concerned about the well-being of its students and staff and is committed to holding its employees to the highest professional and ethical standards.”
Tracy Unified Distract is conducting its own information to gather and look through. The district's statement is, “We are deeply concerned about the allegations and remain focused on protecting the safety of our students. The district is fully cooperating with law enforcement, and we are not able to provide specific details about the allegations, as this is an ongoing investigation.”
As of recently, Pribble is still under investigation by the Tracy Police Department; no other information has been released to the public.
