As the water polo season starts, the boys' and girls' varsity teams have been making their presence felt in the pool. With a series of strong performances, both teams have proved that they are ready to compete. Especially through their game against Lincoln High School.
From the start of the girls' game, both sides had strong defense, making it impossible to score. However, during the second quarter, the girls' team pushed through and dropped 3 goals back-to-back. As the game progressed into the second half, Lincoln responded with great offense, putting an amount of pressure on Kimball's defense. Despite all of this, girls continued to fight and blocked shots. The Lincoln girls were struggling to keep up with the flair of the Jaguars. Although the girls put up an amazing fight, the Lady Jaguars admitted defeat to Lincoln with a score of 7-5.
The boys' varsity team also faced a challenging matchup against Lincoln. Once again, despite Lincoln having immense offense, the boys' team had incredible defense. They made it hard for Lincoln to score against them and didn't give up. During the second half of the game, many of the players dropped some of their first and best goals of the season so far. However, the boys' team lost with a score of 14-5.
Even though both teams couldn't bring it home for Kimball, their head coach ended the game by stating that both teams played some of the best water polo of the season yet.
